Criccieth (Cricieth) is set in the most spectacular location surrounded by sea and mountains with friendly townsfolk who will make you Croeso (welcome). Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is the highest mountain in Cymru (Wales) at 1085m and attracts between 350,000 and 400,000 visitors a year. It has two beaches either side of the Castle, the famous icecream shop Cadwaladers, Castle Fish and Chips and Dylan’s restaurant is at the end of the promenade housed in the Clough Williams-Ellis (Portmeirion architect) designed art-deco glass fronted building along with gift shops, a deli and a train station.
