Walks and places to visit when enjoying your stay with us

Walks, too many to mention but below a few favourites;

  • The coastal path from Criccieth to Borth y gest village is stunning!Follow the headland round over to Black Rock Sands* (quite possibly our favourite place with superb views across Tremadoc Bay to Harlech) where you can happily spend the day on the beach or if feeling really adventurous walk to Borth y gest, have lunch and then return the same way back to Criccieth.
  • Moel y gest – is the table top little mountain to your left of Aeolian looking out. Information and maps of the walk can be found online.On a clear day the view is spectacular from the top.
  • The Cob, Porthmadog – An easy walk.The Cob is the flat stretch of road that runs beside the steam Railway Line.Its 1 mile to the end where you can cross the road and walk back beside the nature reserve.

Porth Neigwl * (or Hell’s Mouth as it is known) is a south west facing rural beach near Abersoch frequented by surfers and kayakers because of the relatively large waves.
